    1. Yes, indeed! Our thanksgiving is a long weekend, Monday being the actual holiday, of course. Turkey or ham dinners are the norm, very much like you would celebrate your Thanksgiving, hopefully, surrounded by those we love. :)

It is always the second Monday in Oct. and is a holiday to give thanks for the close of the harvest season. We’ve been celebrating Thanksgiving since 1578…on the second Monday in Oct. since 1957.

  1. Hi Nancy, I didn’t know about your Canada Thanksgiving celebration… esp. in October. Thank you for the information in your comments.

There is much for which to be thankful! Friends, family, means of communication, and the beauty of the world around us. (How is your grandson doing?)

    1. I’m glad you found it interesting, Shady. :) And yes, we have much to be thankful for…including my wonderful grandson, who is doing very well, indeed. Thanks so much for asking.

  2. Nancy girl I am sorry to be late here .. this is a “post” Happy Thanksgiving and I hope it was a wonderful weekend for you !
It does sort of screw us up for the week .. I am thinking this is Monday when it is TUESDAY !!

I appreciate and welcome your comments!
