Wordless Wednesday (First Hint)

First hint of fall colour...

“The foliage has been losing its freshness through the month of August, and here and there a yellow leaf shows itself like the first gray hair amidst the locks of a beauty who has seen one season too many.”

  1. Lovely photo, Nancy. Interestingly, though we’ve been seeing hints like this for several weeks now, it’s gone humid and sort of icky up here on the hill again today. Oh, and windy again. Sigh. We should rename September Windtender.

  2. Your photo captures not only the leaf changing effect but that smell of autumnal air. Like the colour centred effect too

p.s. thanks for the guess on my site – trust you to spot Plath!

  3. Thanks so much, everyone, for your kind comments! I so appreciate them. It’s almost cold outside tonight — I’m sure it won’t be long before we start to see much more colour. Sigh. But it is a gorgeous time of year.

I appreciate and welcome your comments!
