Darling Starlings

On his darkest day he believes in Spring.”

  1. Dear Nancy, What an effective picture. In Brighton, where I have friends, each November time, as dusk falls, thousands [literally] of starlings fill the sky and circle over the pier. It is a very strange phenomenon especially when seen against a magenta sky. This has reminded me of that.

  2. Nancy, have you read “Arnie the Darling Starling?” You MUST! There’s a sequel, too. Both wonderful reads and true stories. Your quote is something I did in counted cross-stitch many years ago and hangs in our family room during winter. Love it!

  3. What a great photo! The colors of the birds stand out on the white branches. We don’t have starlings here; they are cute birds!
