Blossom by Blossom, Spring Begins

From my mother's garden...

For winter’s rains and ruins are over,
And all the season of snows and sins;
The days dividing lover and lover,
The light that loses, the night that wins;
And time remembered is grief forgotten,
And frosts are slain and flowers begotten,
And in green underwood and cover
Blossom by blossom the spring begins.

  1. Crocuses! I miss them. They have just green leaves in my garden. Spring is so late this year.
    On the other hand, thanks to that there is more time to do something else…
    Thank you for commenting on my blog.

  2. I’m always thrilled to see the crocus ~ they are the first thing to bloom in my garden (I don’t have any snowdrops planted). I know once they open, other blooms won’t be far behind then we’ll for sure be into another garden season! :-) Oh happy day!
