Love in Bloom

Bloomin' love? The one orchid bloom that has opened is just about fully opened, so I thought I’d snap another shot.   It has been amazing to watch the tightly wrapped bud unfurl at such a slow pace.  What a show!  I know now why people warned me that they were addictive!

MacroI’m looking forward to seeing the blooms on the second plant which should be an entirely different colour.

  2. She’s a beauty, Nancy! A delightful find … now, aren’t you happy! And you’ll be surprised at how long she stays in bloom. Enjoy!

  3. Your orchid makes me want to try again .. but I hate the thought of killing one yet again .. I guess I will just have to enjoy yours Nancy girl !

  4. Oh Nancy, isn’t she just gorgeous? You are right…orchids are very addictive. I can see why they have orchid societies! What a beautiful thing God has created, with such detail. Awe-inspiring, really.

I’ve got a couple of orchids that will be blooming shortly. I always forget what they look like, it’s so long between blooms! LOL. So it will be a surprise for me, too!
