The four ages of man:

1) when he believes in Santa Claus,

2) when he doesn’t believe in Santa,

3) when he is Santa Claus, and

4) when he looks like Santa Claus!

  1. I love the 4 ages theory Nancy .. and how true is that ? .. hubby fell into most of them but gray hair is holding off .. amazing , since I fight mine on a regular time table .. and I am over 2 years younger than he is ?? LOL
Merry Christmas and a VERY Happy New Year girl !!

  2. I’m so glad you found this quote! We have the Farmer’s Almanac & I never noticed it! My husband can’t stop laughing! He doesn’t have much hair though., so he’ll never be mistaken for Santa:)

I often wish I could be taken back in time to the 1st stage! Having a grandchild must be the best! That’s when Christmas, to me, is the most fun: when there are young children around to see Christmas through their eyes!

  3. I am stage 3, my husband was just telling me he looks like Santa so I guess he might consider himself stage 4 (not in my book though:) Merry Christmas to you and family!

  4. Definitely in the third stage but felling like I’m in the fourth, creeping towards the fifth – becoming a myth like Santa Claus. Like Dave, I’m unable to grow a beard like that so maybe I’ll just go from 3 to 5.

Fun post, Nancy. Have an awesome Christmas.
