Red Sky at Night, December Delight

If the old adage, “Red sky at night, sailors delight…” is true, there must be a lot of delighted sailors in Nova Scotia this evening!  Proving once again (as if there were any doubt), the skies of late autumn are among the most beautiful of the year.  These were hastily shot through my bedroom/office window.

  1. You’ve certainly had some nasty weather early in the season! We’ve had a couple of snow storms here in upstate NY too, and today has been frigid, with a bitter wind.
But your beautiful sunsets are enough to warm the cockles!
Thanks for sharing all your lovely photos and just the right poetry…a wonderful combination!
You’re really getting into the spirit of the season!
I do hope Charlie’s father will recover quickly and that your daughter has a delightful vacation in CA. I hope it’s a lot warmer there!
The decorating at your parent’s house sounded like such fun, and your story of that good, honest soul finding your mom’s forgotten shopping bag is heartwarming.
    Stay warm up there!
