Thankful

I only wish I’d discovered this song (and video) at the beginning of this holiday weekend, rather than at the end.  But I’m thankful I found it at all.

  1. Nancy–I have a strong belief that we entertain angels unaware. I think when I get to heaven…I will find out that you are one of the angels. There is no other reason for so much peace, love, goodwill, and kindness abide in such a earthly being. I’m not even sure that you are aware the gravity of your impact. I’ve known very few people with such a gift.

Anna, dear, you warm the cockles of my heart. :) Thank you so much for such kind and generous words. It’s actually rather moving to me that you referred to angels (not that I, in any way, pretend to be one!) as that was the nickname I was given when I worked as a Paramedic. Everyone called me “Angel” after an incident that happened on a call one evening. That, actually, would make a good post some day. ;-)

The circumstances of my life in recent years are such that on many days, I struggle to find the good. But even on difficult days, it’s always there — the good in everything — if we choose to find it. It’s a mantra I vowed to adopt years ago when my world seemed turned upside down, and it really does work. That you are, in any small way, impacted by anything I have to say is the most flattering thing I can think of.

  2. This video is quite good. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Hi Lisa — I discovered the song on Josh’s (Josh Groban) Christmas CD and went to YouTube to see if there was a video of him performing the song. There wasn’t, but what I found I thought was appropriate for the season. :)

  3. Thank you for sharing this video. Part of what so many “garden bloggers” do (and You are one of the finest) is to share those little details that so often we overlook.

Thank you, Shady — and I’ve included your beautiful snowfall in the GB First Snowfall page. :)

Nancy, we just experienced our first snowfall!! So, I’ve posted and have linked to you. Hop on over… but be careful not to slip and fall! :-)

    Have a great day!!
