By the time Kyle reached our part of the province, he had been downgraded to a tropical storm and we suffered little damage here in my town, except for a few scattered leaves. He packed a bigger wallop to our south shore, but property damage was minimal from all reports this morning. I hope jodi and Chey fared as well.
I discovered this leaf, along with a smattering of geranium petals, stuck to a glass-topped table this morning. It seemed a good illustration of how Nature tempers rage with beauty.

Glad to hear you made it through the storm Nancy! Minimal damage is always a good thing during Tropical Storms. The rain & winds they bring can wreak havoc to our property. Beautiful picture today of Mother Nature’s handiwork. :)
I imagine if one had the opportunity to travel around the coast, one would get some amazing photos today — tidal surges and all. It’s amazing what the sea tosses up during one of these storms. :)

This is the 2nd time I’ve seen you use that glass-topped table with excellent, artistic results. This is beautiful, Nancy. I’m glad the storm didn’t cause any damage, except the odd petal and leaf, seemingly.

Lucky shot and an eye that is constantly scanning my small balcony for anything worthy of a photo. :) This time of year, things have really started to fizzle out, but Nature always provides a perfect canvas, doesn’t she?

Our daughter newly lives in Texas so we are suddenly much more aware of the dangers of these storms. Congrats on your award!! I had to look at your picture very closely. It looks like it’s frozen to the top? It makes you take a second and third glance. Very interesting. Glad too that you made it through Kyle without damage. We got much needed rain.
