"Rich will be my life if I can keep my memories full and brimming, and record them on clear-eyed mornings…." – Roman Payne (Rooftop Soliloquy)
Sky High
The three lines of jet wash (one at the top; two at the bottom) make this a particularly interesting September sky, don’t you think? It looks like someone was coloring inside the lines. :)
That has got to be one of the coolest ever sky shots I’ve ever seen, Nancy. I can’t read music nor do I know what all those squiggles are called, but this looks almost like sheet music. You know? It’s a Musical Sky. Outstanding!
I’d been away and missed a few of your posts: enjoyed the last splashes of flower colour, the lovely water reflection of fall leaves and gorgeous blue sky punctuated by airplanes – look like autumn is coming quickly. And Frost already! I’m still in denial – banana firmly planted – although it really needs to come out soon.
I think it looks like a lion swimming in the sea – or perhaps a heart framed by two angel wings (in the middle/right side of the picture). :) Very good photo!
Thanks everyone, for your comments, as always. It was a beautiful sky today, and summer-like temperatures. Just about perfect. I just happened to go outside at the time those jets were passing over. Lucky. :)
It looks like one of my daughter’s drawings – the ground on the bottom, some figures in the middle, and a line at the top for the clouds. The only thing missing is the round sun with the spiky rays coming out of it! :)
Yes, Nancy I agree too. Not very often you can get 3 lines of contrail. Do you remember last year when Lisa at Greenbow posted that lovely sunrise photo of a contrail in pink? I haven’t seen anything as unique until this one of yours!
Thanks so much for your comments, folks. It was such a beautiful day yesterday. (Now we’re just waiting to see how Kyle treats us as he blows through tomorrow.)

A musical sky! I love it!
I agree – a great shot :)

Those clouds above the jet streams look whispy. Don’t you just love the word whispy? It sounds so light and airy like those clouds look.
Nancy .. great shot and I really like the wispy clouds in-between ! … oops … Lisa used wispy .. great minds think alike ? LOL
Why do I see a duck billed platapus? Just kidding, that is a great picture.

A double underline! It looks like someone was saying, We’re “cirrus!” Look here!
Very cool jet wash!

I’ve just found your blog – thanks to your Blotanical nominations and how worthy Soliloquy is. Beautiful photos. An inspiration.
I’m so glad you found my blog…and I hope you’ll return often. :)
Beautiful sky :)
Gorgeous blue Autumn sky Nancy.

It looks like someone was framing a cloud portrait.
