It Makes Me See Red

Roses are red,
Petunias are too!
I much prefer roses,
But this red will do.

  1. Ha ha! Yes, red is great in the garden and yet I don’t have any red flowers this year. My mother is going to give me some maltese cross that seeded from the neighbors and doesn’t fit her pastel gardening colour scheme.

  2. Nancy, I had some that looked just like that a month ago. They’ve now succumbed to the horrid heat!

  3. I have a hard time with petunias! I like them, but mine always get stringy and ugly. That is a nice color, reminds me of lipstick.

  4. You’ve captured the red of these petunias so well! Reds can be so hard to get sometimes. I love red too!

  5. Wish I could have more luck with the petunias…unfortunately, we have way too many slugs here in the woods to plant them in the beds..the only annuals I plant in the beds for fillers are impatients and geraniums..any suggestions of an annual that slugs won’t eat?
