  1. Well, shit, I don’t know French! But I have French somewhere in my blood, I was told as a child! So I don’t know what you guys are saying in the comments!

  2. ah yes. June. Definitely up there in the favorites, if not the favorite.

(it’s not ‘supposed’ to be 94 degrees in June, but that’s ok, I love June anyway.)

  3. June–my favorite month, because summer seems to stretch out endlessly before you. But your quote says it soo much better!

  4. Nancy, what a wonderful quote. And most years true. This year here however… Gertrude Jekyll’s name sounds so familar, I’m going to Google her when I’m done reading posts. Can’t quite place where I’ve heard her name before. Doesn’t that drive you nuts? It does me.:)

  5. Okay, now I know. A great designer of gardens in England and her works and gardens were often mentioned in the book “Dear Friend and Gardener”. Whew, thank heaven for Google, now I don’t have to stay up all night trying to remember.:)

  6. Beautiful photo. A simple flower but the color and form are perfect.

Do you suppose anyone called her Gertie?

I appreciate and welcome your comments!
