Pansies on the Table

“The beauteous pansies rise
In purple, gold, and blue,
With tints of rainbow hue
Mocking the sunset skies.”
– Thomas John Ouseley,
The Angel of the Flowers

A favorite aunt gifted me these floral china mugs last weekend and I finally used them today. They’re almost as pretty as the pansies in her garden. :)

  1. Exquisite! Simply perfect for High Tea with scones and finger sandwiches and little cakes. Do have some High Tea for me, please? Love this – thanks!

  2. I’d love a couple of those mugs for some hot chocolate. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any prettier mugs. (I’m not much of a coffee or tea drinker)

  3. Anna-Flowergardengirl, oh wow–those are so beautiful!!! So let’s drink something warm. I worked in the cold pouring rain all day. I’m frozen. I think this is the first time I’ve had a fire going this time of year in my whole life. It sure felt good though.

  4. Nancy .. you have a beautiful header picture there .. I must have missed seeing it before !
Those are gorgeous tea mugs .. I love pansies on just about anything .. how about some raisin scones with that please ?
    Joy : )

  5. They are sweet mugs and perfect for a tea/coffee/hot cocoa party on your balcony over looking the flowering Crabapple tree…
