A Flattering Blush

Taken in yesterday’s wind and rain, and through a window to boot, the quality of the photo isn’t all that great, but I was so excited to note this blush of pinkish-red on the ornamental crabapple tree just off the balcony. This is the tree that I thought wasn’t going to bloom this year as it unfurled its leaves…what a nice surprise! I’ll post photos in a week or so when it should be at its loveliest.

Apple blossoms should be at their peak for the 76th Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival which begins next weekend.

  1. in case you get two comments from me…blogger lost my first..nancy, how delightful to have this surprise bloom!

  2. so much fun to see your apple blossoms right after ours. Our blossoms are just falling off the trees now.

  3. Your crabapple is going to be so gorgeous, Nancy! Ours is done, but it was amazing, too. Just a solid mass of blooms, and you could hear it buzzing with bees. :-)

  4. Wonderful Nancy! By the look of those blossoms, I would say that you are definitely ahead of us on the north shore.

I appreciate and welcome your comments!
