  1. You can only see a glimpse of them is this great picture but I immediately thought of the phrase, “eyes are the window to the soul”.

  2. looks like it’s a good thing there’s a window between the kitty and the birds! Clever post title! Doesn’t that little sound cats make when they’re salivating over birds crack you up?

  3. This cat has the ‘look’. The one that says if I get out there, your mine! Fat Cat has the same look when satring out the window overlooking my feeders.
Hope your day is great, Nancy.

  4. My cats looked just like that this morning while they were staring into the new water garden desiring the goldfish.

  5. This must be Toby! Nancy, you are going to tire of me saying this, but I took a similar picture of our Toby looking out the picture window this past week, too.
Our Toby likes to go outside for brief meanderings when the weather is nice. Despite being an indoor cat who is declawed and quite lazy most of the time, he still has that hunter instinct. Fortunately, he’s never caught a bird yet.

  6. nancy, I do want your quote source! This is a wonderfully perfect way to live for cats or humans! Beautiful kitty.

  7. ROTFL…our catchildren wholeheartedly approve of this photo and this activity. Does your beautiful cat talk to the birds….

  8. You have the loveliest birds at your place. We only ever get sparrows and the occasional cardinal or mourning dove. I LOVE these photos!

  9. How cute! Perfect quote too!

Poor kitty, lol. My kitty loves to sit in the kitchen window that looks out onto our bird feeders. He sits there tail swishing furiously, it is fun to watch.

  10. I was so surprised to see this since just the other day, I was thinking of a photo of my Raya looking out the window and chattering at the mother robin nesting on the porch. But then I was going to go on and talk about how many birds are killed by cats. I think I heard a stat like a million in some state. They are right up there with disappearing rainforest as a cause for the decline in birds. I guess I decided it was too ‘preachy’ for my blog, and didn’t post it. :<)
