A Born Naturalist

“Every child is born a naturalist. His eyes are, by nature,
open to the glories of the stars, the beauty of the flowers,
and the mystery of life.” –  R. Search

    1. Hello Balisha! So good to hear from you. :) My grandson just finished his first year of school and excelled in both math and music…he comes by both honestly from his Mommy and her sister. It’s hard to say…so much lies ahead for him. Right now, he’s into fishing! As it should be when you’re almost 6 years old. ♥

  1. One of the talks I give with respect to my book centres on how naturalist Mary Majka encouraged so many children simply by sharing her enthusiasm and love of nature. Each of us can also open a child’s eyes to the wonders of nature, simply by taking a few moments to share what we love. We can also benefit from slowing down enough to see our world through the eyes of a child. I am sure your grandson must delight in being with you and your artist eye, Nancy (and you with him, as well!)

  2. I’m going to venture a guess that the t-shirt says, “When life gives you mud, make mud pies?” :-) Cute photo. Your grandson is just the right size to hug! :-)

  3. Your grandson comes from those who love and appreciate nature — no wonder he’s a natural. How very heartwarming to see children curious and embracing nature.
