GB Muse Day – December 2008
“I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December,
A magical thing
And sweet to remember.
‘We are nearer to Spring
Than we were in September,’
I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December.”
- Oliver Herford, I Heard a Bird Sing

Thank you for this optimistic note, Nancy. My winter wonderland of yesterday has turned into a winter nightmare today. I’m already wishing for spring!
I do hope you get a chance to post photos of your parents’ past Christmas decorations; they sound beautiful!

That IS very encouraging! Thank you for that reminder. Today has been a foggy sunless day that put me into a gloomy frame of mind. But thinking that spring isn’t so far away, makes me happy!

Lovely poem, spring is indeed not all that far away anymore. Wish it was already there though, as it is my favourite season of the year.
Happy musing!
